| Litherland training night a success. | |||
|
The first 2 weekly nights at Litherland Sports Centre have passed and have successfully attract new Orienteers into the sport. I attended the first club night last week as a representative of the parent club. However due to a clash with club's comittee meeting, was unable to attend the second. We understand however that it was succesful and next week the community club will be branching out into a Local Park. A new area of the website is under construction for the community club and will be available to all shortly. | |||

As a part of the Sport England funding initiative, British Orienteering have announced that MEROC have been invited to join
the ‘Participation Projects’ for 2009. Benefits to the club include the
support of Steve Vernon the Northern
Participation Manager during 2010: Other Clubs are: North South The Participation Managers, with the support of the Regional Development Officers, have the resources to work with up to 5 clubs each while also providing support to other clubs that are working towards setting up a weekly club night. This is in addition to maintaining a close link with the ‘Club and Coach’ projects in West Anglia, Yorkshire, and Lancashire.
