MEROC is a small, active, family friendly orienteering club covering the county of Merseyside and the South West of Lancashire. However, we do have members of the club dotted across the country. Due to the number of family members, the juniors of the club have had success in recent years but often the social side of the sport is what attracts people to the club. In co-operation with our neighbouring club DEE, we set up a series of events for schools in the area. These contribute most of the events put on by the club, but we do host a larger events every year. In 2008 we hosted the Junior Home Internationals on a previously unused area of the Sefton Coast. We are always accepting new members, both young and older, whether experienced competitors, or those new to the sport. |
